The A28 is built on a single diagonal. A sheer illusion mesh yoke carries the round neckline at the base of the throat, and the opaque black bodice cuts across it on a slant from one shoulder to the opposite underarm, so one long sleeve is solid dress fabric and the other is mesh the whole way down. Rhinestones trace that diagonal edge, then break into sweeping bands across the bodice and trail down the skirt.
