Jackson boots come in two width systems, and this is the same scale written two ways. R covers A–B and W covers C–D; on men’s skates M = C and W = D. Narrowest to widest, that is A, B (N), C (M), D (W). Width is the circumference around the widest part of the foot — the ball — not the width across the sole.
Measuring
Do not use your shoe size. Skates and shoes are sized differently. Measure in the socks you will skate in, standing on paper, marking your longest toe and your heel with the pen upright, then measure between the marks in inches. Measure both feet and use the longer one; never choose a size shorter than your longest foot. Children may need a little room to grow.
