Description
The Jackson Ultima Mystique is a white figure skate for women, girls and tots learning to skate — the middle boot in Jackson’s Ascend recreational series, above the entry-level Excel and below the Artiste. This listing carries all three size ranges: JS1490 in adult 4–10, JS1491 in youth 11 through 3½ and JS1494 in toddler 8–10, with an Ultima Mark II blade already mounted.
Jackson grades boot support from 2 to 85; the Mystique sits at 15 in adult sizes and 10 in youth — deliberately soft, with enough hold for gliding, edges and crossovers and enough give to bend at the ankle rather than fight the boot. Once single jumps are consistent, ask a coach about a stiffer model.

- Support: light — Jackson rating 15 on the adult JS1490, 10 on the youth JS1491.
- Boot: softer topline, memory foam ankle padding, microfiber lining; the padded collar is tan.
- Tongue and flex: foam-backed vinyl-and-mesh comfort tongue with a flex notch at the ankle crease — the gray mesh panel in the photos — so the boot bends forward.
- Lacing: white laces through eyelets up the instep, finishing with four lace hooks.
- Outsole: stylized PVC in brown with a stacked-look heel embossed JACKSON; wipes clean.
- Blade: Ultima Mark II, etched MARK II with the Ultima logo and screw-mounted at the factory. Jackson matches the toe pick to the stage of skating, and says its skates leave the factory sharpened.
- Break-in: the JS series is not heat-moldable; Jackson suggests lacing loosely with the top hook undone for the first few sessions.
Fit and sizing
JS1490 covers adult (women’s) 4–10, JS1491 youth 11 through 3½ and JS1494 toddler 8–10, all in a single C width on Jackson’s A–D scale. Jackson builds heels one width narrower than the ball, so a C boot has a B heel — that is what holds the heel down in a soft boot. Measure the longer foot standing, in skating socks, and check the ball of the foot as well as the length; between sizes, size up.

Boots and Mark II blades ship as one factory-assembled pair. Guards, soakers and a bag are not part of this listing — the Mystique bundle with Guardog guards and the bundle with a bag and guards add them.
