Description
The Softec Sport is Jackson Ultima’s recreational skate on a hockey blade: a soft, insulated boot over a one-piece plastic holder carrying a stainless steel runner, with no toe pick. Built for going round the rink, not for figure elements. Adult sizes ship as the ST6100 and youth sizes as the ST6101, the same boot under two model numbers.
What kind of skate this is
Jackson rates its figure boots 2 to 90 for stiffness; the Softec program sits outside that scale, so the Sport has no number. It is listed under Medium Recreational Support, and Jackson positions it as a recreational hockey skate — the one Softec built without a figure blade. A skater in lessons needs a toe pick; the Vista and ST2300 below are the same family with one. For public sessions, school skate days and outdoor rinks, the hockey blade and warm boot are the point. - Upper: durable nylon in white and blue — woven mesh through the middle, blue overlays at toe, quarters and heel, a line-art graphic and a silver heel-counter panel.
- Lining and padding: Thinsulate through the upper and tongue over cushy foam padding, under a padded rolled collar.
- Closure: a full row of metal eyelets, two molded lace loops a side, and a Velcro ankle strap marked SOFTEC that re-tightens without relacing.
- Outsole and holder: a synthetic outsole under a one-piece white plastic holder printed SOFTEC; wiping it dry is the whole maintenance.
- Blade: built the way a hockey skate’s is — a stainless steel runner carried in that plastic holder, rounded at the toe with no pick, mounted and sharpened at the factory.

Fit and sizing
Skate sizes are not shoe sizes: measure in skating socks and work from the longer foot, taking the larger size between two lengths. Inches first, cm in brackets.
The Sport is made in one width. The size selector calls it C and Jackson letters the same fitting M — on our chart they are one column, on a scale running A, B (N), C (M), D (W) narrowest to widest. The girth column below is that fitting, from the Jackson Ultima sizing chart; a ball measurement well above the figure for your length means this boot will pinch, and a wider foot wants a D/W model. Jackson cuts its heels one width narrower than the ball.
