Description
The Softec Vista is Jackson Ultima’s figure-styled recreational skate: a soft, padded nylon boot on a molded PVC outsole, with an Ultima Mark I figure blade screwed to it and sharpened at the factory. Adult sizes ship as the ST3200 and youth sizes as the ST3201 — the same boot under two model numbers.
Support level
Jackson rates its figure boots for stiffness from 2 to 90, but the Softec program sits outside that scale — Jackson publishes no number for it. The Vista is listed here under Medium Recreational Support, the tier that also covers the Glacier GS180 and SoftSkate JS180, and Jackson describes Softec as built for recreational skating and beginner lessons; skaters already working on jumps need a numbered boot. Key details
- Upper: textured, moisture-resistant nylon with a synthetic overlay at the toe and ankle, contrast stitching, punched detailing along the seams, and a molded panel wrapping the heel counter — silver on the black and navy boots, lilac on the white.
- Lining: Nylex, for a velvet feel and warmth, under a padded fabric-covered topline.
- Closure: the full eyelet row finishes on three open hooks a side; no Velcro strap on this model.
- Outsole: stylized PVC, black with a molded gray heel section; wiping it dry is the whole maintenance routine.
- Blade: Ultima Mark I, etched with its name, screwed on front and rear, factory sharpened and skateable out of the box.
- Width and colors: medium (M) width only, in every size. Adult sizes come in white with lilac trim, black or navy; youth sizes in black, navy or pink. Not every color is stocked in every size.

- Softec ST2300 — laces plus a Velcro strap, and a Softec-branded blade rather than a named Ultima one; it also runs to adult 11.
- Softec Vista ST3200/ST3201 — lace-and-hook closure, Nylex lining, Ultima Mark I blade.
- Softec Sport ST6100 — a leisure skate: insulated boot, plastic blade holder, picless runner.
- Softec Elite ST7200 — the step up, on a stacked-look heel with the deeper-picked Ultima Mark II.
Fit and sizing
Measure the foot rather than going by shoe size: stand on paper in skating socks, mark the longest toe and the heel, and work from the longer foot. The tables give each size’s foot length and the ball-of-foot circumference the M width is built around, inches first with cm in brackets; Jackson publishes no girth figure for toddler sizes.
M is the only width the Vista is made in, and the girth figures below are the medium-width column of the Jackson Ultima sizing chart. A ball measurement well above the figure for that length means this model will pinch; a D/W boot suits a wider foot. Jackson also cuts its heels one width narrower than the ball. The Vista is a nylon boot, not one of the leather-soled Jackson models that can be heat molded.
