Description
The Softec RAVE is Jackson Ultima’s graphic-print recreational skate: a soft, fleece-lined nylon boot on a stylized figure outsole, with an Ultima Mark I blade screwed to it and sharpened at the factory. Adult sizes ship as the RV2000 and youth sizes as the RV2001 — the same boot under two model numbers.
Support level
Jackson rates its figure boots for stiffness from 2 to 90, but the Softec program sits outside that scale and carries no number. The RAVE is listed under Medium Recreational Support — rink sessions, learn-to-skate and skating for fun. Key details
- Upper: durable, moisture-resistant nylon with a swept line-art print over the toe wrap and outside quarter, white contrast stitching and a SOFTEC badge.
- Lining: fleece through the upper and the tongue, rolled out over a padded fabric topline.
- Closure: a full row of eyelets finishing on three open hooks a side; no Velcro strap on this model.
- Outsole: stylized figure outsole with a molded panel wrapping the heel — silver-gray on the black boot, pink on the white one.
- Blade: Ultima Mark I, etched with its name, screwed on front and rear, factory sharpened and skateable out of the box.
- Width and colors: medium (M) width only. The black boot with the purple graphic is stocked from toddler 8 to adult 10; white with pink covers adult 4–10, youth 1 to 3 and youth 11.
Where the RAVE sits in the Softec range
- DIVA DV3000 — a single-color boot laced through eyelets only, with no hooks.
- RAVE RV2000/RV2001 — fleece lining, three hooks a side, printed graphic.
- ST2300 — laces plus a Velcro strap, and a Softec-branded blade rather than a named Ultima one; it also runs to adult 11.
- Vista ST3200/ST3201 — the same Ultima Mark I blade, but Nylex lining in place of the fleece.
- Elite ST7200 — higher in the range, on a stacked-look heel with the Ultima Mark II blade.
- Softec Sport — a leisure skate on a picless runner, so not a like-for-like comparison.
Fit and sizing
Measure the foot rather than going by shoe size: stand on paper in skating socks, mark the longest toe and the heel, and work from the longer foot. The tables give foot length and the ball-of-foot circumference the M width is built around, inches first with cm in brackets; Jackson publishes no girth for toddler sizes, so go by length there.
M is the only width the RAVE is made in, and the girths below come from the medium-width column of the Jackson Ultima sizing chart. A ball measurement well above the figure for your length means this boot will pinch across the forefoot; a D/W last suits that foot better. Jackson also cuts its heels one width narrower than the ball. The RAVE is a nylon soft boot, not one of the leather-soled Jackson models a skate technician can heat mold.

Youth 13 is not currently stocked in either color, and toddler sizes are black only.
