Description
The GAM Concept is a white lace-up figure skate for women and girls from GAM, the sister brand Jackson Ultima launched in Montreal in 1990, sold here as two models split by size range: G0470 in women’s sizes and G0471 in youth sizes. Jackson rates it moderate support, level 35, for single jumps: an intermediate boot with a softer topline and the flexible support an up-and-coming skater needs.

- Support: moderate — Jackson support level 35, single jumps. For a skater who has the basics down and is adding jumps and spins in lessons, not for a first time on the ice; the Jackson Ultima Classique, by comparison, is rated 45.
- Wrap: the GAM Wrap System adds an increased pattern over the instep for improved wrap around the foot.
- Tongue and collar: improved tongue design with the GAM oval logo on the outer face and a soft tan lining inside; the padded collar is lined in the same material.
- Lacing: eyelets over the forefoot and four lace hooks per side at the ankle.
- Outsole: dark brown GAM PVC sole and heel, an easy-care alternative to leather.
- Blade: Ultima Mirage, attached at the factory — an all-purpose figure blade with a standard heel, 8-foot rocker and straight-cut toe picks in a chrome finish.
- Fit: GAM’s Adapted Width design gives a more relaxed fit for recreational skaters, reduces side pressure, suits flatter feet and accepts most orthotics.
Fit and sizing
G0470 covers US women’s sizes 4–9 and G0471 covers youth (misses) sizes 13–3.5, in full and half sizes; the selector shows what is in stock, and the model you receive depends on the size you choose. Both come in two widths: R, labelled N in the selector, fits feet that take an A or B width on Jackson’s scale; W is the Adapted Width fitting for C and D widths. Width is the circumference around the ball of the foot.
Skate sizes are not shoe sizes: measure both feet standing in skating socks, use the longer foot and match that length to the Jackson Ultima sizing chart. Never choose a size shorter than your longest foot; children may need a little room to grow.
What’s included
Boots and Ultima Mirage blades arrive as one factory-assembled set — there is no separate blade to buy or mount.
