Description
The Jackson Ultima Freestyle is a complete figure skate: a white boot with the Ultima Aspire blade already mounted. It comes as the women’s DJ2190 in adult sizes and the girls’ DJ2191 in youth, both rated Moderate by Jackson — 45 adult, 40 youth — for skaters working on single-rotation jumps.
On Jackson’s 2–85 support scale, 45 is mid-range: enough boot to hold the ankle through a single jump without competition-boot stiffness. Ask a coach or skate technician if you are between ratings.
Key details
- Support: Jackson rating 45 Moderate (adult DJ2190), 40 Moderate (youth DJ2191).
- Boot: softer topline with a rolled collar, a contoured backstrap shaped to the ankle and a flex notch for forward flex; gold-tone eyelets and hooks, Jackson logo and Freestyle script on the backstrap.
- Padding and lining: asymmetrically shaped foam padding, fully padded microfiber lining that does not absorb moisture.

- Tongue: covered foam leather tongue.
- Outsole: LCL layered cork leather, 17% lighter than a traditional sole — the tan stacked heel under the boot.
- Blade: Ultima Aspire, chrome-finished with a toe pick, screw-mounted rather than riveted, so its position can be adjusted.
Freestyle DJ2190 or Freestyle Fusion FS2190?
Jackson builds the Freestyle two ways at the same support ratings. This DJ version is the leather-soled original: layered cork-leather LCL outsole, Ultima Aspire blade. The Freestyle Fusion FS2190/FS2191 swaps in a nylon-composite Fusion sole and the Aspire XP blade, and sits higher in the range.
Fit and sizing
The DJ2190 runs Adult 4–10 in widths A, B and C, the DJ2191 Youth 11–13.5 and 1–3.5 in B and C; the selector shows what is in stock.
Fitting takes two measurements: foot length sets the size, ball-of-foot circumference sets the width, and the same size in A and in C is a different boot. Measure both feet in skating socks, use the larger, and size up between sizes.
