Description

The Classic SoftSkate 380 is the warm, heavily padded boot in Jackson Ultima’s Classic line, and this is the pink one — a white vinyl boot with a thick pink fleece collar rolled over the ankle and the SoftSkate 380 script in pink on the quarter. It ships as a complete skate, with the blade already mounted.

The pink is more than trim: the rolled collar, the tongue top and the quarter logo all carry it, over Jackson’s traditional antique tan outsole and heel. The padding buys comfort from the first try-on and warmth through a cold session — not stiffness for jumping. Jackson rates the 380 Medium Recreational Support, the tier it names for beginners and skaters commencing lessons and leaves off its numbered 2–90 scale.

Which pink Jackson skate?

Several Jackson recreational lines come in pink, and they are not the same boot:

• Classic SoftSkate 380 — this skate: the padded fleece-collar boot on a tan outsole, toddler 8 to women’s 10.
• SoftSkate JS180 — the same soft collar and Mark I, on a white PVC outsole with a gray wrap; one of four options there.
• Softec Vista ST3200 — a nylon Softec boot, three open hooks, Nylex lining; pink under the youth model number only.
• Softec RAVE RV2000 — nylon and fleece-lined, with a swept line-art print and a hot pink heel panel on the white boot.
• Softec ST2300 — fabric lace loops under a Velcro ankle strap instead of hooks; pink runs toddler 8 to youth 3 only.

Fit and sizing

Three model numbers cover the run and the selector picks the right one: JC384 in toddler 8–10, JC381 in youth 11–3 and JC380 in women’s 4–10, which the size menu labels Adult. Full sizes only, one width: M, the fitting Jackson publishes across the Classic line. All sixteen are made in pink; the menu shows what is in stock.

Skate sizes are not shoe sizes. Measure heel to longest toe and around the ball of the foot, then read both columns below; between two lengths take the larger. Only one width is made, so a foot well outside the M girth needs a Jackson family sold in several widths. Inches first, cm in brackets; the full Jackson Ultima sizing chart has every size and width.

Jackson cuts its heels one width narrower than the ball, so an M boot sits on a narrower heel. New boots feel firm; leaving the top hooks unlaced for an outing or two lets them settle.

A complete pair — SoftSkate 380 boots on white laces, with the Ultima Mark I blades already mounted. Only guards for walking off the ice need adding.
